90 × 61.5 cm | Acrylic on canvas
Warm light spills across the body in Candle, creating a hazy, sunlit moment of warmth and ease. A woman rests on her side, her back and curves illuminated against deepening shadows.
Golden yellows, soft beige and touches of white give the painting a luminous, almost sun-drenched quality, while the deeper brown shadows create contrast and depth. The expressive brushwork keeps the surface tactile and alive, while the relaxed pose gives the figure a sense of quiet confidence.
A study of light, softness and the simple comfort of being at home in your own body.
